Advanced SiP Technology for Smart Sensing, Living & Connectivity
With Sensor hub and the IOT, smart living, driving and the entertainment become more and more convenient for us. People could be more closed to each other by the intelligent devices. They can know the health situation of their own family, monitor the security, and/or environment quality through all these intelligent devices such as smartphone, wearable device or tablet. That means we should put lots of different sensors in these devices which would connect to the cloud system. But the major challenge is how to put more and more sensors or controllers in the same device of or even smaller one. ASE has lots of experience to build sensor package before whose application include vital signal detection, environment detection, automotive sensing and contextual awareness. Now we are trying to use the SiP-related technology to integrate different sensors in the small package. Combining the superiority of simulation, structure design, new substrate technology, materials measurement, and the final test, ASE already published our own sensor SiP in Computex Taipei 2015. The SiP module makes the connection between the sensors and internet through the RF device and all is within the same package. ASE also applies WLP solution to shrink the package size and has embedded antenna solution for customers. In near future, ASE will continue providing the different solutions for the sensor packages, and aim at the sensor hub, the new application such as bio-sensor and health care application.
