Biography:  
Dr. Robert Li is currently the Country Manager of Synopsys Taiwan. Before this role, he was leading a global team to support the major foundry and its eco-system in advance process development, technology partnership, and mutual customer collaborations.  Before that, he was with Synopsys China as Country Manager, built and led a strong field team with creditable business outcome and satisfactory customer relationship since Dec. 2009. He was also on the Advisory Board of the Semi China and served consultative role to various industrial organizations.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Comm. Eng.  National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan and his Master/Doctorate in EE at the Univ. of Southern California. He also received his Executive MBA degree from National Taiwan Univ.. Dr. Li holds 3 patents in wireless communication. 

With his 20+ years working experience in wireless and semiconductor industry, Dr. Li’s roles cover technology research, production/project planning/management, sales marketing and business operation. He started his career as a visiting researcher for HDD magnetic coding scheme at SONY Central Lab, Japan and then, senior engineer in wireless system design at Computer/Communication Lab (CCL), Industrial Tech. Research Inst. (ITRI) at Taiwan. Subsequently, he joined the earliest Wi-Fi company in Taiwan – Z-Com Inc., severed various management positions in product development and sales marketing departments. After that, he startups Wiznet Wireless Inc. (a CDPD Mobile Internet operator) and later found another mobile commerce company – e-Trade Info. as President. Dr. Li was with Synopsys Professional Service group at 1999, rejoined Synopsys/Taiwan sales team at 2003 and led a team covering key accounts and Greater China foundry business till moving to Synopsys, China.
