Biography:  
Shawn Jang is a leader in the global sustainability industry. He has dedicated his entire career to sustainable practice. He began his career in 1999, as a designer reducing pollution from construction activities by controlling soil erosion, waterway sedimentation, and airborne dust. Since then, has worked on over 40+ projects seeking LEED certification utilizing numerous LEED green building rating systems and has successfully certified projects in many market segments.
He specializes in helping organizations implement sustainable solutions and actively manage their social and environmental impacts.

Shawn is an active volunteer and member of US Green Building Council. As a Pro Reviewer he is committed to reviewing courses on Education @USGBC for user experience and quality of content. He has presented at Greenbuild 2014 conference and regularly conducts trainings and workshops throughout Asia on sustainable building methods and educating professionals on green building practices and strategies.  As a member on the LEED Steering Committee, he develops and maintains LEED as a leadership tool, and preserving the integrity of the LEED rating systems.

As USGBC Faculty, Shawn has taught numerous LEED workshops throughout China and Taiwan. He also teaches at Feng Chia University in Taiwan and is the first higher education institution outside of the U.S. to offer the LEED Lab course

Shawn is the founding Chairman and LEED International Roundtable Representative for Taiwan’s seed LEED professional association. He is the liaison with USGBC, providing feedback on LEED in Taiwan and input into future development such as regional prioritization and alternative compliance paths.
