While building and managing a large high-tech factory, data is becoming critical. Today the facility managers do not only solve the challenges in physical world. They must also well organize the facility data to predict and avoid the potential problems. Dr. Kang will present his recent research with some industry partners focusing on the data management problems for high-tech companies. The data includes the building information model (BIM), vibration analysis, airflow analysis, construction schedule, etc. The data management includes the issues of storage, process and presentation. He will present the processes to integrate the heterogeneous data in the system and also the presentation of the data. A primary goal of the data visualization is to communicate information clearly and efficiently to users via the carefully design graphics. He will also present the environment suitable for the datadriving decision-makings.
