Biography:
Denny McGuirk is the president and CEO of SEMI. Headquartered in San Jose, California, SEMI is the global industry association serving the manufacturing supply chains for the nano and microelectronic manufacturing supply chains. McGuirk has over 20 years of experience as an association executive with broad knowledge and involvement in all aspects of association management, including events, marketing, business development, membership and advocacy. He has direct experience with developing strategic alliances and joint business development. Most recently, McGuirk served for 12 years as president and chief executive officer of IPC, an international trade association for printed circuit boards and electronic manufacturing industries. He was executive director of the National Fluid Power Association from 1996 to 2000. From 1993 to 1996, McGuirk held various key positions with the National Rifle Association of America. Prior to his career in association management, he served for 24 years in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Colonel. McGuirk earned a Bachelor’s of Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.
