Donald Lu joined the Goldman Sachs Asia-Pacific Research Team in June 2003, and is responsible for semiconductor stocks in Taiwan, China, and Singapore. Donald has recently moved to Beijing Gao Hua Securities. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Donald covered US semiconductor and semiconductor capital equipment stocks at JP Morgan in San Francisco for three years.
Prior to JP Morgan, Donald was an assistant professor at Cornell University and Mount Sinai Medical College in the US, where he did research in RF electronics and signal processing for magnetic resonance imaging. He has invented several radio frequency antennae and holds a patent.
Donald received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Beijing University, a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
