Dr. Charles Chen

Dr. Chen was born in Yun-Lin, Taiwan, on April 29, 1970. He received the B.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees from National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1992 and 1996, respectively.
He served in Taiwan Air Force as a lieutenant from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, Dr. Chen joined MiTac, and founded SI lab. Afterwards, he joined the SI team of Quanta Computer, and in charge of server products. Since June 2004, he has been with the R&D team of MediaTek, and where he is currently a director, in charge of packaging design & technology development, SI/PI/PDN simulation & design, RF EM design, and PCB design. He holds over ten US patents, and has authored or coauthored some technical publications.
